Campsites North Devon
The county of Devon or some still call it Devonshire is in Southwest England and rests between the counties of
Cornwall on the west side; Dorset and Somerset on the east side. There are two sections of Devon, the North which
lays on the Bristol Channel which leads out to the Atlantic Ocean. Then on the south Devon lays the English
Channel. Devon is the third largest county in England and the population reaches over one million.
People are discovering that North Devon has a lot to see. It isn’t really that popular but it is growing every
years. Campsites North Devon is aplenty. Where ever you want to go there are many different campsites, whether it
is along either coast or in the heard of Devon.
One of the newer campsites North Devon is the Riverside Caravan and Camping Park. It is nestled in the town of
south Molton and has forty acres of flat woodland and meadows. The Mole River runs right through the campsite and
is a wonderful place for sights to see, pleasant walks. One can explore to their hearts content. The park will
provide special areas just for birdwatchers and botanists. Some of the enmities include a nice playground for
the children, pets are welcome, picnic tables and barbeque pits.
Also included on campsites North Devon Riverside Camping Park is electrical outlet hook ups, it even offers it’s
campers heated toilets and a shower building. There are also hair dryers and shaver points for the men. They do
have special facilities for the handicapped. Also included are washer and dryer and public pay phones.
Another one of the many lovely campsites North Devon is the Mullacott Farm. It seems to have everything one
would want to go camping or stay in the lovely old farmhouse. It was recently renovated and still has the old world
charm. You can even get fresh eggs and sausages for breakfast. The bedrooms have double or single beds, with a
toilet, basin and a shower in the rooms. You can pitch your tent as well at Mullacott Farm. They offer a toilet and
shower block, drinking water in the field electrical hook ups and barbeques as well. You can also play ball games
and fly kites if you wish.
There is also a camping barn that is a bit different, as many campsites North Devon does not have. It is a
camping barn mainly for the youth that are traveling and do not have a lot of money. More like a youth hostel if
you will. The sleeping areas are raised up with the accommodations on the ground floor. This was an old barn at one
time, so the lay out is a little different. There are sleeping stalls that can sleep up to four people, they each
have a mattress at not charge, but you must bring your own linen or sleeping bag. Don’t forget the warm clothes; it
does get a bit nippy at night.
